IIT JEE (Main and advanced)

Joint Entrance Examination Main (JEE Main) is conducted by JEE Apex Board under pursuance of MHRD, Government of India for admission to Undergraduate Engineering Programmes in NITs, IIITs, and other Centrally Funded Technical Institutions etc.

JEE (Main) has two papers, Paper-1 (B. E./B. Tech.) and Paper-2 (B. Arch./B. Planning.). Candidates may take Paper-1 (B. E./B. Tech.), or Paper-2 (B. Arch./B. Planning.), or both as per the course(s) they are seeking admission to. The Paper-1 (B. E./B. Tech.) of JEE (Main) will also be an eligibility test for the JEE (Advanced), which the candidate has to take if he/she is aspiring for admission to the undergraduate programmes offered by the IITs.

BITSAT

BITSAT is a computer based online test for admissions to Integrated First Degree Programmes of BITS Pilani campuses in Pilani, Goa and Hyderabad.

NEET - AIIMS - JIPMER

NEET (UG) examination is conducted by CBSE for admission to MBBS/BDS Courses in India in Medical/Dental Colleges run with the approval of Medical Council of India/Dental Council of India under the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India except for the institutions established through an Act of Parliament e.g. AIIMS and JIPMER Pondicherry.

The All India Institute of Medical Science, New Delhi conducts AIIMS MBBS Entrance Examination for admission to MBBS course at seven AIIMS.

Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education & Research, Pondicherry conducts JIPMER MBBS Entrance Exam for admission to its MBBS course.

GATE

Streams - Aero, Mech, P&I, Metallurgy, Engg Sciences, Mathematics, Physics

GATE examination conducted by IISc and IITs is a computer based test for engineering and science aptitude in facilitating admissions for higher education (M.Tech./M.S./Ph.D.) in IITs, IISc and various other Institutes/Universities/ Laboratories in India and abroad (e.g., NUS, NTU Singapore). GATE examination provides with a GATE score to all qualified candidates, which is valid for three years.

GATE qualified candidates are paid scholarships/assistantship, especially funded by MHRD, Government of India and by other Ministries for higher education.

During the last few years, GATE score is also being used as one of the criteria for recruitment in Government Organizations such as Cabinet Secretariat, and National/State PSUs in India

Tamilnadu common entrance test is a state level eligibility test for postgraduate studies. (i.e. M.E. an M.Tech courses)

NET/TRB/SET

Streams - Maths & Physics

National Eligibility Test (NET) is a test to determine eligibility for college and university level lectureship and for award of Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) for Indian nationals. It aims to ensure minimum standards for the entrants in teaching professions and research. On behalf of the University Grants Commission (UGC), the Central Board of Secondary Education(CBSE) holds the test for determining the eligibility of Indian nationals for the Eligibility for Assistant Professor only or Junior Research Fellowship & Eligibility for Assistant Professor Both in Indian universities and colleges.

TRB and SET are state level eligibility tests for lectureship in the respective states.
